After the first three sessions of the GlobalGoals webinar series before the summer break in the Northern hemisphere, the project is now continuing with a presentation of the key findings from chapter four of the SDG Impact Assessment:
Interlinkages, Integration and Coherence

Co-lead authors Måns Nilsson, Executive Director of the Stockholm Environment Institute and Marjanneke Vijge, Assistant Professor of Sustainability Governance in the Developing World at Utrecht University will address the question of whether and to what extent the Sustainable Development Goals generate new synergies and trade-offs in sustainable development policy-making at national level.
The presentation is followed by a reflection from Ernesto Soria Morales, Senior Analyst for Policy Coherence for Sustainable Development at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), before the audience will be given the floor to ask questions.
Next to Måns Nilsson and Marjanneke Vijge, the author team of chapter four includes Ivonne Alva Lobos, Basil Bornemann, Karin Fernando, Thomas Hickmann, Michelle Scobie and Sabine Weiland.

More than sixty scholars jointly evaluated in the SDG IMPACT ASSESSMENT whether the Sustainable Development Goals had had any steering effects in global, national or local governance. In March 2022, the SDG Impact Assessment will be published by Cambridge University Press.
The GLOBALGOALS Webinar Series and the findings of the SDG Impact Assessment are also feeding into the work of the recently established Taskforce on the SDGs of the Earth System Governance Project.
